David Gillick is a former elite athlete and mental health speaker who retired from competitive athletics in 2013. He made history by winning Ireland’s first Sprint Gold Medal in 76 years at the 2005 European Indoor 400m Championships, a title he reclaimed in 2009. David is a World 400m finalist, a 2008 Beijing Olympian, and holds the Irish Outdoor and Indoor 400m records.
A familiar face on Irish TV, he won Celebrity MasterChef in 2013 and participated in RTÉ’s Hellweek. David also hosts the podcast Medals & Mics and delivers engaging talks on nutrition, mental health, and performance at events throughout Ireland.
