Brand and Creative Services Manager - BD & Marketing

Role

We are currently seeking a Brand and Creative Services Manager to join our dynamic Marketing team.

This is a senior and pivotal role for ALG, supporting our client and business development, employer branding and responsible business strategies. It will be a strategic, management and hands on role. Your vision and direction will play an important part in the further development of the brand identity and creative direction, building on and strengthening our award-winning reputation in the industry.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, and leading a team of 2 other creative designers, this role presents an exciting opportunity for you to further develop a career in design, brand management and production, with a brand that is at the top of its industry sector. The quality of the marketing work is widely regarded by colleagues, clients and industry observers and has been recognised by marketing industry awards in Ireland and at a European level. 

Specific responsibilities include:

Strategic creative design and direction

  • Ongoing development and management of the ALG visual brand strategy aligned with firm strategy and overall brand objectives
  • Brand guardian - ensuring consistency of ALG visual brand and quality control across the business and management of brand guidelines

Managing team output including

  • Lead creative, design and campaign direction
  • Video production - Planning, storyboarding, filming and editing
  • Photography art direction and implementation
  • Management of AV production suite
  • Environmental branding - supporting the roll out of the internal branding across the new office building project

Team management and leadership

  • Manage the creative services team output, providing consistent and clear visual direction in projects from brief through to completion of the process
  • Mentoring and coaching team to ensure best practice and latest design methodology utilised, for maximum impact and efficient and effective output
  • Collaborate and work closely with broader marketing team to achieve marketing objectives
  • Advise on current design trends and how they apply to our business

Requirements

Technical skills

  • Advanced design, layout and typography skills
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe CC 2016 including:
    • InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After effects and Adobe Animate
  • MS Office: 
    • Advanced design using PowerPoint, including animation, audio, video and template creation
    • MS Visio and MS Word
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS and web standards
  • Advanced troubleshooting on the technicalities marketing production
  • Art direction and execution of firm photography. Corporate, conceptual and architectural.
  • Excellent storytelling, conceptual thinking, and visual communication skills
  • Video production - Planning filming and editing to a high standard
  • Advanced knowledge of CMS web systems, online marketing and digital marketing concepts

Management skills and experience

  • Direct and manage multiple projects, stakeholders, timelines and budgets
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication at all levels - including presenting design concepts and strategies to senior leadership, influencing decisions, direction and execution
  • Experience working in a fast paced, hardworking, high volume, deadline oriented environment
  • 4+ years people management experience
  • Lead, mentor and inspire a diverse team of design practitioners, fostering a culture of excellence, creativity, and collaboration
  • Ensure clarity and consistent workflow through regular reviews and meetings
  • Position the design team as strategic conceptual partners to their marketing colleagues and across the firm
  • Contribute to the learning career development of individual team members
