eDiscovery Manager (Legal) - ALG Solutions

An excellent opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and experienced lawyer to join our ALG Solutions practice group. Our ALG Solutions group is the largest group of its kind in Ireland with over 65 dedicated full time professionals. The role

The candidate will be the primary point of contact between advisory teams, clients and ALG Solutions on multiple mandates simultaneously. They must have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for the management of a team and will excel at encouraging the professional growth of the people they manage and help drive the growth of ALG Solutions as a whole. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensure excellence of output for the work product of their team and an overall excellent client experience.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A passion for legal innovation.
  • An exceptional knowledge of litigation life cycle, impressive understanding of the EDRM, best practice discovery standards, familiarity with Irish privilege and Data Protection laws would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Previous experience managing an eDiscovery or litigation support team.
  • Familiarity with eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity is an advantage.
  • Excellent presentation and client facing communication skills.
  • Experience in managing a team of people and coordinating and managing the assigning and supervision of tasks and reporting to all key stakeholders.
  • A high degree of initiative with leadership skills.
  • An ability to multi-task and take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of a task.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Inspires confidence in them and their team.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise work effectively.
  • An ability to work effectively within a team.
  • A flexible and cheerful outlook towards work.

Other requirements

  • A legal qualification is essential.
  • Relevant 3rd level Degree/Diploma in Law, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Commensurate experience working in law firm or consultancy.
  • Familiarity with eDiscovery software preferred but not essential.
  • Strong general administration skills with strong word processing skills and experience with document management systems.
  • This role may suit a solicitor or barrister returning to the work force after a career break.
