Learning and Development Coordinator - Talent

This is an ideal role for a highly organised and enthusiastic individual who has experience co-ordinating programmes/projects, an interest in learning and development and welcomes the opportunity of working with a broad spectrum of people across a top Irish Law Firm.
The ALG School is the home of all learning at ALG. It reflects the strategic importance placed on continuous professional development at the firm. The ALG School is managed by the Talent Development Team and provides a wide range of custom programmes for ALG staff.
An opportunity has arisen in the Talent Development team. The person in this role will contribute to the seamless execution and delivery of a range of ALG School Programmes/initiatives.

The primary responsibilities of the position are to coordinate, schedule, deliver, and manage best in class development programmes. The successful candidate will join the Talent Development Team that sits within the broader Talent department at ALG.
Role and responsibilities
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Support Talent Development Managers in managing, coordinating, and delivering ALG School programmes for colleagues across the firm.
- Programme management responsibilities will include:
- Stakeholder management.
- Venue management.
- Invoice and file management.
- Scheduling and managing attendance of attendees and facilitators.
- Attendance tracking utilising LMS.
- Collation of feedback and data.
- Potential to facilitate and lead elements of programmes depending on experience.
- Play a leading role in onboarding new joiners, supporting them with systems training and introduction to the ways of working at ALG.
- Deliver and support training for rollout of new technologies across the firm:
- Deliver best in class IT systems training.
- Create and maintain written training instructions and online learning materials in the form of e-learning courses, training videos, and intranet pages.
- Utilise LMS and other departmental trackers to ensure excellent records.
- Work on dedicated projects within the team structure
Skills, experience and characteristics required
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a high performing professional environment.
- Experience working as part of an L&D team an advantage.
- Experience in delivery of technical training an advantage.
- Advanced IT skills and excellent working knowledge of:
- MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Teams.
- Experience with eLearning tools (such as Vyond and Articulate) an advantage.
- Proven ability to and interest in project and/or event management (Qualification/Experience in either an advantage).
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keenly collaborative style.
- A post-leaving certificate qualification e.g. degree, diploma/certificate, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Self-driven. Ability to work unsupervised as part of a team.
- Proactive. Takes initiative rather than reacting to requests.
- Results focused. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strive for excellent results.
- Adaptable: Proven track record of being adaptable and able to handle multiple responsibilities/tasks.
