Talent Development Programme Co-Ordinator

Description

This is an ideal role for a highly organised and enthusiastic individual who has experience co-ordinating programmes/projects, an interest in learning and development and welcomes the opportunity of working with a broad spectrum of people across a top Irish Law Firm.

Launched in 2017, the ALG School is the home of all learning at ALG. It reflects the strategic importance placed on continuous professional development at the firm. The ALG School is managed by the Talent Development Team and provides a wide range of custom programmes for ALG staff.

The Talent Development team is seeking a new member who will be dedicated to ensuring the seamless execution and delivery of a range of ALG School Programmes.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to the right candidate to work within a high performing team that strives for excellence when delivering development programmes. The role will suit someone who enjoys and thrives in a fast paced, collaborative environment.

The primary responsibilities of the position are to coordinate, schedule, and manage the delivery of best in class development programmes. Initial areas of focus will be programmes for trainees and junior lawyers at the firm. The successful candidate will join a high performing Talent Development Team that sits within the broader Talent department at ALG.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Coordinate and manage trainee development events;

- Stakeholder management

- Venue management

- Invoice and file management

- Scheduling and managing attendance of trainees and facilitators.

- Attendance tracking utilising LMS.

- Collation of feedback and data.

  • Coordinate and manage the delivery of The Advanced Electives as part of the trainee qualification process;

- Collaborate with our Talent Development and Knowledge teams in the design and delivery of each module.

- Prepare required paperwork for the Law Society of Ireland and liaise with Law Society representatives on documentation at key times in the Advanced Elective.

- Manage the project from a coordination and administration perspective.

- Liaise with venues, external facilitators, and the Law Society to ensure a seamless learning experience for learners.

  • Support Talent Development Managers in managing, coordinating, and delivering ALG School programmes for colleagues across the firm.  
  • Utilise LMS and other departmental trackers to ensure excellent records.
  • Take ownership of specific administration tasks within the overall team
  • Work on dedicated projects within the team structure

Requirements

  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to and interest in project and/or event management (Qualification/Experience in either would be desirable).
  • Proven track record of being adaptable and handling multiple priorities at one time.
  • A pragmatic and solutions orientated attitude to challenges
  • Enjoys working in a team environment and a collaborative culture.
  • Invests time in building effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keenly collaborative style.
  • A high level of discretion and trust with confidential information.
  • Approachable and highly professional in manner. Positive attitude when working with all colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a high performing professional environment.
  • A post-leaving certificate qualification e.g. degree, diploma/certificate, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Advanced IT skills and excellent working knowledge of;
  • MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Teams and Zoom.
