Demonstrate that you know what a corporate law firm is and why you want to become a corporate lawyer. Try to demonstrate that you are aware of the latest news and current affairs.

Tell us about a time when you challenged yourself out of your comfort zone. Demonstrate resilience and provide us with examples.

Read the introduction and examples before you get started. At this stage, we want to know what makes you tick. You won’t need any work experience to be able to answer the questions. Just answer naturally, so we can get the best idea of what you’re really like.
You are given practice questions before the real test starts. Take advantage of these to make sure you understand what you have to do in the assessment. Often, you can re-read the instructions and redo the practice questions multiple times.
Ensure you have no distractions as the assessments require your full attention.

Interview tips
Preparation is key
Make sure you research the firm and are on top of the latest current affairs to show your commerical awareness skills. Always prepare some mock questions and practice. Be sure that you have read through and know your application form.
Be on time
Ensure you give yourself enough time and arrive early to avoid rushing and being late. Plan your route in advance to avoid any unnecessary stress. Before entering your interview make sure you switch your mobile phone off.
Be concise
Listen carefully to the questions being asked. Provide clear and considered answers. Make sure to prepare four to six examples that you can use accordingly to back up your answers.
Show your personality
Smile and be enthusiastic. Show your interest in the position and the firm. Dress to impress as first impressions count! Build a rapport with your interviewer. Good body language and eye contact are important.
Keep calm
Take a moment to gather your thoughts. Ask the interviewer to repeat the question. Answer the questions as best you can. Remember the interviewer wants you to succeed!
