The piece of advice I would give a university student is probably to start building your commercial awareness. Whether that's through reading the news every day. It's a small thing that university students can do that can really help when you get into a corporate law firm.
I think the trainees are very supported by the firm. They get a lot of training and development, including practical sessions hosted by solicitors and associates in the firm, we do periodical commercial awareness sessions hosted by trainees and we have self-guided learning.
