ALG's EU, Competition & Procurement team have published its report on merger control by Ireland's Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) for 2024.
The report highlights key statistics and lessons learnt from Irish merger control in 2024 and looks at anticipated developments in 2025. At a glance, 2024 was a very busy year for Irish merger control, with a total of 82 notifications being made to the CCPC. The report also assesses merger control by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) in Northern Ireland in 2024.
