A&L Goodbody named Irish Law Firm of the Year
A&L Goodbody (ALG) has been named Irish Law Firm of the Year by renowned international legal publication Chambers Europe. The award was announced at the Chambers Europe Awards ceremony which recently took place in Madrid.
Hosted annually, the Chambers Europe Awards honour the contribution of national and international law firms across the region, recognising outstanding work, impressive strategic growth, and excellence in client service over the past 12 months. The recognition is the result of extensive research and thousands of interviews conducted by Chambers. A&L Goodbody previously won the award in 2016 and 2018.
In recognition of the win, Chambers noted: 'A&L Goodbody boasts the highest number of Band 1 practices and lawyers in the Irish market. The law firm furnishes its clients with premier expertise in areas such as Banking & Finance, Competition/European Law, Construction, Corporate/M&A, Debt and Equity Capital Markets, Dispute Resolution, Employment and Pensions, Energy & Natural Resources, Insurance, Intellectual Property, Investment Funds, Projects, Real Estate, Restructuring/Insolvency and Tax. Sources hail A&L Goodbody as “sophisticated Irish counsel that is able to provide comprehensive advice on complex matters.”
Julian Yarr, Managing Partner at ALG, said: "What makes this award so special is that it reflects the outstanding work we've done for our clients on some of Ireland's most important and complex mandates. The last 18 months have been unprecedented with the challenges of the pandemic combined with a buoyant market. But our business has shown resilience and adaptability to support our clients through this time and into the future. That's down to the brilliant people we have and the extraordinary commitment they made to our clients and each other. I would like to thank them all for being central to the firm achieving this recognition."
