A&L Goodbody returns as title sponsor for the 2025 ALG5K Corporate Team Challenge
A&L Goodbody (ALG) and Athletics Ireland are proud to announce the launch of the 2025 ALG5K Corporate Team Challenge, Ireland’s premier city-centre 5K run, which returns to Dublin City Centre on Tuesday 16 September 2025. Following the resounding success of the 2024 event, the 2025 ALG5K promises to be bigger, better, and more engaging than ever before.
The ALG5K is a cornerstone of the social running calendar, bringing together professionals from across Corporate Ireland for a night of fitness, fun, and friendly competition. The ALG5K is inviting Corporate Ireland to put on their running shoes and join Ireland’s largest corporate city centre 5k run for some healthy competition with colleagues, friends and other businesses.
ALG5K 2025 invites corporate teams, family teams, sports club teams or the individual runner to take part and compete. Teams are made up of four runners, with team categories for male, female and mixed. The official score for each team is determined by the recorded times of the registered team members with accurate chip timing for all participants.
David Gillick joins as ambassador
This year, the ALG5K is thrilled to welcome two-time European indoor 400m champion and Olympian David Gillick as its ambassador. A passionate advocate for health and fitness, David will inspire participants to embrace the benefits of physical activity and teamwork. David Gillick said:
“The ALG5K is a fantastic opportunity for professionals to step away from their desks, connect with colleagues, and challenge themselves in a fun and supportive environment. I’m excited to be part of an event that promotes health, wellbeing, and community spirit. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting out, the ALG5K is for everyone!”
