ALG celebrates International Women’s Day

In celebration of International Women's Day, we were delighted to welcome broadcaster Doireann Garrihy as our host, along with singer-songwriters RuthAnne, Erica Cody and Karen Cowley, members of the Irish Women in Harmony collective who came together in the midst of the pandemic to remotely record a cover of The Cranberries 'Dreams' in support of Safe Ireland. The virtual discussion focused on the speakers' experiences of music, the arts and what International Women's Day means to them.

Over 270 ALG people joined the virtual event to help support Safe Ireland. Special thanks to Doireann, RuthAnne, Erica and Karen for a fascinating and entertaining event.
