ALG enters into a new educational partnership with jumpAgrade
A&L Goodbody (ALG) has entered into a new partnership with jumpAgrade, the online grinds platform, to support six Leaving Cert students at Marino College. The partnership with jumpAgrade is part of ALG's ongoing programme supporting social inclusion in our community through education.
jumpAgrade provides online tutoring to second-level students regardless of location, ability or socio-economic background. Based on their specific needs, jumpAgrade matches students with a vetted tutor who will provide weekly online grinds and personalised feedback. We have partnered with Marino College, a local community college in Dublin 3, to support six students preparing for the Leaving Certificate for the 2020/2021 academic year.
Commenting on the partnership, Sinead Smith, Head of Responsible Business at ALG, said: "Supporting social inclusion through our educational initiatives is an important part in our overall responsible business strategy. Now more than ever social inclusion is an extremely prevalent issue as the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic are showing that inequalities are growing in our society. Giving young people access to opportunities is core to what we want to achieve with our partnerships in the local community. We hope that this will also increase the students' chances of progressing to college and completing third level education."
