On 11 May 2023, ALG hosted its first Regulatory Enforcement Round Up conference in Dublin at the Marker Hotel.
The event saw ALG's Regulatory Investigations team present alongside ALG industry experts in Financial Regulation, Banking, Funds, Insurance, Payments, Investment Services, Governance and ESG to discuss industry developments and practical aspects on managing enforcement risk for all regulated businesses in the financial services industry.
The event covered a number of regulatory enforcement topics in three speed sessions:
- A 'Look Back' on the Central Bank's enforcement approach to date, covering how this has developed and taking recent case studies as examples
- A 'Lessons Learned' session covering practical tips on avoiding enforcement risk and how to engage in supervisory reviews and enforcement investigations
- A 'Look Forward' panel discussion with ALG's industry experts on where the enforcement risk lies in the future across the various financial services sectors
Throughout these sessions a team of cross-sector ALG experts drew on our deep experience in representing regulated firms and individuals in supervisory reviews and enforcement investigations right across the financial services industry. Presenting to over 150 in attendance, thank you to all who came along and all who shared their insights.
