ALG achieves Investors in Diversity Silver Mark
A&L Goodbody LLP (ALG) has been awarded the the Investors in Diversity Silver Mark by the Irish Centre for Diversity. This follows achieving the Bronze Mark last year and matches the Silver Mark awarded to our Belfast office.
Investors in Diversity is Ireland’s leading D&I accreditation. Achieving the mark involved a deep dive audit of our D&I policies, procedures and work practices as well as an independent employee survey carried out by the Irish Centre for Diversity. The Investors in Diversity programme recognises existing efforts and supports continuous progress by providing a structured framework to transform workplace practices and culture.
Silver accreditation means that we have been benchmarked against other organisations and embedded Inclusive practices across our business. It also shows that we have developed and fostered a sense of fairness and belonging among colleagues.
Our D&I strategy includes five core pillars:
DARE – our gender equality programme
- OneALG – our LGBT+ ally programme
- Cultural Diversity
- Social Mobility
- Accessibility
Commenting on the award, David Widger, Managing Partner, said: “Achieving the Silver Mark is recognition of the importance and focus we place on being an inclusive workplace. Our aim is for ALG to be a place where people can be their true selves and celebrate our diversity. Where they can achieve their career goals regardless of gender, sexual identity, cultural or social background, or physical and neuro ability. We’re so proud of all that we have achieved, but know that we need to do much more.”
