ALG sponsor Offshore Wind 2024
On Thursday 2 May and Friday 3 May, A&L Goodbody (ALG) sponsored the Offshore Wind 2024 conference at the Clayton Burlington Hotel. The conference, hosted by Wind Energy Ireland, was attended by over 500 industry leaders and opened with a keynote address from Tánaiste Micheál Martin TD, along with a warm welcome from the conference chair, Emma Tinker, Wind Energy Ireland. Attendees also heard a ministerial address from Eamon Ryan TD, Minister for the Environment Climate and Communications and Minister for Transport.
Alison Fanagan, consultant and co-head of ALG’s Environmental & Planning group, joined industry leaders and a panel of experts speaking at the conference on a long-term sustainable marine environment.
Offshore Wind 2024 themes included:
- Day one: Ireland’s economic opportunity in offshore wind, sustainable marine environment, Phase 1 Planning, ORESS 2.1 Auction and the future framework
- Day two: offshore grids, European integration, energy independence, exporting power and growing Ireland’s supply chain
