ALG sponsors Irish Renewable Energy Summit 2023

On 9 February, A&L Goodbody (ALG) sponsored the annual Irish Renewable Energy Summit 2023 in Croke Park. Ross Moore, partner and head of ALG's Energy, Infrastructure & Natural Resources team, joined over 250 industry leaders at the conference which kicked off with a ministerial message from Eamon Ryan, TD, Minister for Environment, Climate and Communications on delivering Ireland’s climate ambition. Ross hosted two engaging and informative panel discussions on renewable energy and sustaining Ireland's energy future.

Morning panel included: Tom Howes, DG Energy, European Commission; Margie McCarthy, Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland; John Reilly, Bord na Móna and Maria Ryan, SSE Renewables.

Afternoon panel included: Phil Hemmingway, Commission for Regulation of Utilities; John Harrington, Ireland Strategic Investment Fund; Prof Jerry Murphy, University College Cork and Director, MaREI; Karen Doyle, Gas Networks Ireland and Muireann Lynch, Economic & Social Research Institute.
