EMEA award win for ALG’s social mobility programme
Legal Benchmarking Group have awarded ALG ‘Improving Access Programme of the Year’ award at the Social Impact EMEA awards 2024. The awards ceremony was held in London last night and ALG was also shortlisted for the ‘Inclusive Recruitment Programme of the Year’ category.
The awards recognise the significant strides that firms across Europe, Middle East, and Africa have taken towards building a more diverse and inclusive legal profession, as well as developing the legal community at large.
ALG’s social mobility programmes
ALG is recognised for the progressive and inclusive social mobility initiatives it leads on, as part of their responsible business strategy. Specific programmes include:
- Career L.E.A.P. a work training programme for young people from marginalised backgrounds, providing work experience, training and mentoring.
- University access programmes, encouraging those from lower socio-economic backgrounds to study law.
- P-TECH, a collaborative educational programme that provides students opportunities to progress towards further education routes as well as direct to employment.
