New partner joins A&L Goodbody Aviation Finance practice

A&L Goodbody has appointed David Berkery as a new partner in its market leading aviation and transport finance team.
Ireland is a key global hub for aviation finance and leasing having almost 50 years' experience in the sector. Recent reports forecast that the Irish aviation sector will see growth of over 20% in aircraft assets from 2016 to 2021. Aviation finance and leasing is a global industry with investment into Ireland mainly coming from the US, Europe and Asia.

David has over 12 years' experience in Dublin, London and New York. He is currently based in the US advising many of the world's leading financial institutions, airlines, aircraft lessors, investment banks and private investors. He regularly advises on the acquisition, leasing, financing and trading of aircraft, vessels and rolling stock. David has a particular focus on asset backed securitisations (ABS), private placements, Enhanced Equipment Trust Certificate (EETC) offerings, secured and unsecured lending, portfolio sales and industry-specific joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions.
