Similarities between the CLS/LTD and DAC company types
As readers of this site will be aware, the Companies Act requires the conversion of all existing private limited companies to a company limited by shares ("CLS" or "LTD"), a designated activity company ("DAC"), or another company type. You will need to evaluate which is the best company type for you.

However there are also strong similarities between the two types of company. This note explains what these are.
