The Gaming and Lotteries (Amendment) Act 2019 comes into effect

The Gaming and Lotteries (Amendment) Act 2019 (the 2019 Act) will come into effect tomorrow, Tuesday 1 December 2020.

Some of the main changes in the 2019 Act include an increased stake and prize limit for gaming machines and changes to the current system of lottery 'permits' and 'licences'. You can read about these changes in more detail here.
