Ross Kane is a senior associate in A&L Goodbody's Restructuring and Insolvency group in Belfast. Ross advises a wide range of local and international lenders and insolvency practitioners in relation to all aspects of enforcement and restructuring transactions. In particular, Ross advises on validity and enforcement of security, the perfection of defective security, asset disposals, loan portfolio sales, negotiating settlement and standstill agreements, consensual restructurings and the development of enforcement strategies. As well as appointing insolvency practitioners, Ross acts for fixed charge receivers, administrators and liquidators in providing post-appointment advice and in the disposal of secured assets in Northern Ireland. Ross regularly advises clients on matters of property law and on receiver, trustee in bankruptcy and mortgagee sales. In addition to his role within the Restructuring and Insolvency Team, Ross also has extensive experience in all aspects of banking law and secured lending and acts for range of local banks and financial institutions in taking all forms of new security. In particular, Ross has a focus on property finance transactions and regularly acts for multiple local and national lenders in taking security and reporting on title for secured assets in Northern Ireland.
