We want to manage our business in a responsible way and always be transparent to our stakeholders – our clients, our employees, and our industry and community partners.
Our Head of Responsible Business directly reports to the Managing Partner of our firm. There is also a partner who is responsible for the oversight of our Responsible Business strategy.
Our strategy is a key agenda item for our management committee and the overall strategy is reviewed on a twice yearly basis.
We want to be held accountable for our actions and be transparent about our progress but also about disclosing where our gap areas are. We do this through participating in the Business Working Responsibly Mark process and we have also signed up to a number of pledges that require us to report annually on our performance.
Established in 2010, the Business Working Responsibly Mark has become one of Ireland’s top standards for CSR and Sustainability. The Mark assesses the full management system from context to continuous improvement across four broad pillars: Governance, Economy, Social and Environment.
The Mark is independently audited by the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI).
We are the only law firm to be recertified for the Mark for a third time.
Pro bono pledge
The pledge provides a common definition of pro bono, a commitment to a minimum aspirational target of 20 pro bono hours per lawyer per year, and a mechanism to benchmark progress through annual reporting of anonymous pro bono data.
Elevate – inclusive workplace pledge
We are a signatory of Business in the Community's Elevate pledge. As a signatory of this inclusive workplace pledge, we are demonstrating our commitment to building a truly inclusive workplace, and supporting the broader values of inclusion, equality and opportunity in Irish society.
