Accessibility

A core area of our diversity and inclusion programme is accessibility. At A&L Goodbody (ALG), we strive to create a workplace that welcomes individuals with disabilities and neurodiverse conditions, ensuring they have equal opportunities to thrive and contribute.

The Accessibility Committee

The Accessibility Committee at ALG is made up of people from different levels and areas across the business. The committee’s goal is to increase awareness and understanding of accessibility within the business, the market and society at large.

By working collaboratively, the committee strives to make ALG a more accessible and inclusive firm, where every employee can reach their full potential.

Trinity Centre for People with Intellectual Disabilities

We are proud supporters of the Trinity Centre for People with Intellectual Disabilities (TCPID). We support TCPID through funding and work experience opportunities for its graduates.

Our partnership with UCC Disability Services

ALG has partnered with University College Cork (UCC) Disability Services to provide a career mentoring programme for students with a disability. This involves ALG employees mentoring UCC students to support them to make a successful transition from college to workplace. As part of our support, we also provide a three month work placement for a student participating in this programme.

disAbility Legal Network

ALG is a proud founding member of the the disAbility Legal Network. The mission of the network which is chaired by Caoimhe Grogan, a solicitor in our Employment team, is to promote equal opportunities for people with disabilities within the legal sector.

Accessibility Officer

Aisling Mooney Eddy is our Accessibility Officer. She is ALG's Talent Director and is the main point of contact for any employee or potential employee who has a disability or is in need of additional supports. This may include people with physical, sensory, intellectual, neurodiverse or mental health conditions.

Aisling's role is to provide, arrange and coordinate assistance and guidance in accessing services in our firm. These services may include IT assistance, additional ergonomic supports or access to information. She will also ensure compliance with the Disability Act 2005 and address any potential barriers to access for all ALG employees.
