Cultural diversity

At ALG we are committed to a diverse and inclusive culture. We celebrate and value cultural differences and strive for a workplace, community and society enriched by a variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

Some of our cultural initiatives include:

• our cultural diversity committee who play an integral role in raising awareness, providing education and fostering a deeper understanding and celebration of the many diverse cultures at ALG 
• celebrating cultural events from all corners of the world including, World Day for Cultural Diversity and International Mother Language Day
• panel discussions to open meaningful conversations with our people about the positive impact cultural diversity has on our working lives and our society
• language groups offering opportunities to learn a new language from colleagues at work and share cultural heritage
• culinary appreciation events where our people come together to share homemade traditional cuisine and culinary traditions
